Day 1
Departure at night or early in the morning, depending on the starting point of the trip.
Direct transfer to Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
Sightseeing in the Pest side of the city with a local guide – walking from Heroes’ Square with the Millennium Monument, surrounded by the Palace of Arts and the Museum of Fine Arts.
Pass through the City Park towards Vajdahunyad Castle, an unusual building combining various architectural styles.
Admiring the thermal pools of Szechenyi – for those willing, the possibility of relaxing in the pool complex (about €25/person).
Walk along the representative Andrassy Avenue, passing the Hungarian Opera House and St. Stephen’s Basilica.
Cross the Chain Bridge – one of the most recognizable symbols of Budapest.
Tour the interior of the Parliament building – one of the largest and most impressive parliamentary seats in the world.
Free time, transfer to hotel, accommodation, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2
Breakfast at the hotel.
Sightseeing tour of the Buda side of Budapest – ascent to Gellert Hill, with the Citadel and the Freedom Monument, offering a beautiful panorama of the city and the Danube River.
Walking tour of Castle Hill – courtyards of the Royal Castle, Fisherman’s Bastion and Matthias Church.
Free time to shop at the Great Market Hall of Vásárcsarnok or stroll along the famous Váci shopping street.
Boat cruise on the Danube River – admire Budapest from the perspective of the water in the light of the waves and bridges.
Depart for the return trip with regular breaks and time to eat.
The tour ends at night.
