Tour program
Day 1
At night, we set off from the assembly point to begin an extraordinary adventure in the heart of Karkonosze – one of the most picturesque corners of the Polish-Czech borderland.
Our first destination will be a Czech attraction – the Path in the Crowns of Trees, whose more than a kilometer-long route leads through forests at the height of the crowns of century-old trees, while a 45-meter-high observation tower offers incredible mountain panoramas.
A 50-meter slide awaits the brave, as well as an underground “World of Roots” exhibit that presents the secrets of forest life from the roots to the treetops.
Another highlight of the program will be the Julia Crystal Glassworks, where we will learn about the process of creating glass masterpieces, and those willing will be able to try their hand at glass craft workshops on their own.
In the evening we will check into a comfortable guesthouse, where a delicious dinner will be waiting for us.
Day 2
After breakfast, we set off into the mountains with an experienced guide to explore the unusual places of the Giant Mountains.
During the hike, we will see the 12th-century Wang Temple, moved here from Norway, then stop at the Little Pond Basin and Samotnia Hostel – one of the oldest in the Sudetes.
The culmination will be the conquest of Sněžka, the highest peak in the Giant Mountains (1,602 meters above sea level), which offers spectacular views of the entire mountain landscape.
Depending on your preference, the route can be shortened using the Kopa lift or lengthened by descending through the picturesque Owl Pass.
In the evening we return to the guesthouse for a well-deserved rest and dinner.
Day 3
After breakfast, we set out to visit Chojnik Castle, rising above the Hell Valley – this is one of the most mysterious places in the Sudetenland.
We will then drive to Kowary, where we will visit the Podgórze Mine, a former uranium mine whose history dates back to the Middle Ages and whose recent history hides Soviet secrets.
Wandering through the underground passages with a guide, we will learn about the legends of the Walloons and discover the mining secrets of the region.
In the evening, we set off on our return journey to end our eventful trip at our departure point at night.
