Day 1

  • Depart early in the morning and explore Krakow.
  • Market Square-see the heart of Poland’s former capital city, listed by UNESCO.
  • We’ll see:
    • St. Mary’s Church with bugle call.
    • Cloth Hall, the Gothic Town Hall tower (70 m) and Krakow’s townhouses.
    • Krakow’s Barbican – a medieval fortification.
  • Wawel Castle- tour of Wawel Cathedral with royal tombs and the Sigismund Bell.
  • Dragon’s Den- to see if the Wawel Dragon is breathing fire.
  • Free time in the main square.
  • Accommodation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

  • Breakfast and further sightseeing in Krakow.
  • Walk to the Kosciuszko Mound- panorama of the city and the exhibition “Fortress City of Krakow 1846-1918”.
    • Options to choose from for the second part of the day:
  • OPTION 1
    • Drive to Kazimierz-Jewish quarter with Szeroka street and Remu synagogue.
    • A visit to the Remuh cemetery with more than 700 tombstones.
    • Oskar Schindler’s Factory- a tour of the museum with an exhibition on the history of World War II.
  • OPTION 2:
    • Stanislaw Lem Experimental Gardens- interactive learning in physics, geology, acoustics, mechanics and optics.
  • OPTION 3:
    • Underground of the Main Market Square- the exhibition “Traces of the European identity of Krakow”.
  • OPTION 4:
    • Living Museum of Obwarzanka- a workshop for preparing obwarzaneks.
Time to eat on your own and drive back.
