Tour program
Day 1
Early in the morning, we set off for Zloty Stok, where we will begin exploring the former Gold Mine via the underground route – we will visit the Gertruda adit, the mysterious Death Walkway and a unique underground waterfall.
During the passage, the guide will talk about the realities of the miners’ work, the tools used and the old technology of gold mining.
We will also visit an old laboratory and a vault full of gold artifacts, where we will learn the stories of attempted thefts and the punishments used in the past.
Another attraction will be the Medieval Mining Settlement, an interactive place where medieval machinery is reproduced in 1:1 scale, and participants will be able to personally try their hand at old mining activities.
An additional highlight will be a ride in a mechanical “tank” designed by Leonardo da Vinci.
After an eventful day, transfer to the resort, accommodation, dinner together and overnight.
Depending on the starting point of the trip, it is possible to add additional attractions that day, such as a short walk in Klodzko or Wambierzyce – to be determined individually with the group.
Day 2
After an early breakfast, we set off for Prague, where we will meet our guide and begin our tour from Hradčany – the royal district with Prague Castle, considered the largest castle complex in the world.
We will see the Gothic-neo-Gothic St. Vitus Cathedral from the outside and learn about its rich interior and the history of royal insignia, mausoleums and treasures.
For those interested, it is possible to purchase an entrance to the interior of Prague Castle – the so-called “little tour” including St. George’s Basilica, the Old Royal Palace and the famous Golden Street with its colorful houses and stores.
We will then proceed to the Mala Strana district and take the Charles Bridge – one of Prague’s icons – to reach the other side of the Vltava River.
We will end our walk at the Old Town Square, where we will see the Town Hall with the Orloj clock – an astronomical mechanism from the 15th century.
After some free time for shopping or relaxation return to the resort, dinner and overnight.
Day 3
After breakfast, we will head toward the Table Mountains, a mountain range known for its unusual flat terrain and amazing views.
The first item on the agenda will be a hike through the Wrong Rocks, a rock labyrinth full of fanciful rock formations, where scenes for the film “The Chronicles of Narnia” were shot.
With the help of a local guide, we will pass through narrow crevices and scenic passages with intriguing names, such as “Crow’s Foot” and “Great Hall.”
After a short rest, an ascent to Szczeliniec Wielki – the highest peak of the Table Mountains – awaits us, where we will see, among others, the “Monkey Man,” the “Quokka” and the “Camel.”
After completing the hike, drive back to the assembly point and end the tour in the evening.
For groups from northern Poland, it is possible to shorten the day – climbing only one peak, depending on available time and group preference.
