Our Rules for Protecting Children During Outings
At KahanTour Travel Agency, the highest priority is the safety and well-being of every trip participant – especially children. In accordance with international human rights standards and UN guidelines, we have put in place clear rules of conduct to help protect children from any form of violence or neglect during our travel events.
What we are doing to protect children:
We act responsibly – with full respect for the rights of the child.
Staff education – we teach our team how to recognize worrisome situations and respond appropriately.
We verify relationships – in doubtful situations, we check whether the child is traveling with an authorized person.
We react immediately – as soon as there is suspicion of abuse, we take concrete action and, if necessary, inform the relevant services.
How we act when a threat is suspected:
In case of an unusual situation:
We check the identity of the child and the adult – we make sure that the child is in the care of an authorized person.
We clarify doubts – if necessary, ask for documents or contact the parent.
We report worrisome situations – if something nevertheless arouses our suspicions, we inform our supervisor and, if necessary, contact the police.
Protect the child – ensure the child’s safety until the appropriate services arrive.
When we suspect child abuse:
If we have reasonable grounds to believe that the child is being abused (e.g. physically or emotionally):
Immediately inform the police (phone 112).
We secure the child and the scene.
We note all the details and pass them on to the relevant departments.
Hiring staff to work with children:
We only work with people who are proven and safe.
Anyone who works with children (including caregivers, entertainers, educators) must be checked against the Sex Offender Registry.
We require declarations of no criminal record and regular data updates.
To summarize:
We create a safe environment for all participants in our trips. We are vigilant, respond responsibly and ensure that every child can enjoy a holiday in a safe atmosphere.
If you have any questions or need to report a worrying situation – we are available at our contact number 24 hours a day.
